From February 19 through March 14, the city will undergo many utility inspections and tree-trimming efforts, causing lane and road closures across several areas. If your daily commute includes Crater Lake Avenue, South Oakdale Avenue, Garfield Street, or a handful of other roads, you'll want to tune in and possibly plan some new routes.

As detailed in a recent post on the City of Medford's official website, Hydromax USA is set to inspect piped utilities for Avista Utilities, kicking off their work between February 19-26. During this time, locals can expect intermittent lane closures on Crater Lake Avenue, South Oakdale Avenue, and Garfield Street. The inspections aim to extend roughly from early morning until the workday's end, with signs prominently in place to guide passersby cautiously.

Murphy Road, Ellendale Drive, and East Barnett Road will also be affected as Asplund Tree Experts remove vegetation from power lines for Pacific Power. Their project, slated from February 19 through March 14, will introduce intermittent lane closures with flaggers present to maintain traffic flow. For those relying on these routes, encountering delays during these periods would be less of a surprise and more of a given.

If anyone plans to travel via Howard Avenue, Angelcrest Drive, or Cloudcrest Drive during the coming weeks, it might be time to reroute promptly. Hydromax USA and Three Dimensional Contracting will ensure that road closures won't just be empty threats but a reality, with detours clearly established to help redirect inevitably confused travelers.
