Drivers in Nevada should prepare for upcoming disruptions on Tropicana Avenue, stemming from the I-15/Tropicana Interchange Project. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced full and partial road closures to facilitate ongoing construction activities like striping, K-rail installation, and intersection improvements. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid travel delays.

The scheduled closures include a full closure of Tropicana Avenue, both eastbound and westbound, between Polaris Avenue and I-15, set to take place nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting tomorrow and lasting until February 18. The I-15 southbound off-ramp to Tropicana Avenue will have one lane open for eastbound access, while westbound access will be closed. Despite the disruptions, access to businesses in the area will be maintained throughout the construction period.

Moreover, there is a half-road closure on Tropicana Avenue at the Dean Martin Drive intersection. The south side of the road will be closed 24/7 from Monday until February 18, with two lanes maintained in each direction. During this phase, there will be no access to Dean Martin Drive, northbound or southbound, though business access will be preserved. A similar half-road closure will affect the north side of this intersection from February 19 through March 7, under the same conditions.

Motorists are urged to use extra caution when traveling through work zones and consider alternate detour routes. According to the NDOT announcement, travel schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen factors.
