
Oxnard Police made an arrest yesterday after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of a loaded firearm. The suspect, identified as Aristeo Gonzalez, a 24-year-old resident of Oxnard, was pulled over for vehicle code violations around Juanita Avenue and Cooper Road. The officers’ routine procedure unveiled an outstanding warrant for Gonzalez, which subsequently led to a search of his vehicle and the locating of a .38 caliber revolver.
Upon the search of the white Ford Expedition Gonzalez was driving, the officers initiated the arrest, charging him with multiple firearms violations.
