The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will host a live virtual public meeting on March 12, to discuss an initiative aimed at improving travel and safety on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike).
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation release, the project focuses on improving two intersections: Route 63 and Barndt Road, and Route 63 with Route 563 (Ridge Road) and Old Skippack Road. The plans include realigning roadway approaches, widening the pavement for new turn lanes, installing new traffic signals and lighting, and updating existing traffic signal phases.
The meeting will take place at 6:00 PM, and residents can join via a Microsoft Live Teams meeting link. After the presentation, PennDOT’s design team will answer questions through the platform’s Q&A feature.
If you lack internet access or the required technology, you can contact PennDOT Project Manager Vince Cerbone or Design Project Manager Kevin Rice for assistance. More information about the Route 63 Safety Improvement Project can be found on their webpage, where residents can also provide feedback.
