
The city of Peoria highlighted the talents of young artists at the Young Artists Showcase. At the City Council meeting on Tuesday, 32 students from Peoria Unified School District, ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade, were recognized for their artwork. Each school submitted two pieces for professional framing and display at Peoria City Hall's Pine Room earlier this month, according to the City of Peoria.
Peoria's 2025 Spring Young Artists Showcase took place from January 3 to 28, featuring student artworks, including pieces by Isaias Saucedo, a 4th grader at Alta Loma Elementary, and Marquise Hill, an 8th grader at Apache Elementary. The event is part of a biannual celebration that includes contributions from 34 local elementary schools, with half showcasing in January and the other half in May, as reported by the City of Peoria.
The 2025 Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival will take place on March 1 at the City Hall campus. The event will feature student artworks, performances, and interactive experiences. It is a free public event supporting the Peoria Education Foundation and is expected to attract over 14,000 visitors. The festival will include more than 80 performances and food trucks, as stated by the City of Peoria.
