The Placer County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the FBI Sacramento Office, is inviting parents and guardians to an informative session on school safety. The session will address the procedures followed by law enforcement to assess reported school threats. "School safety is ALWAYS a priority," as reported by the Placer County Sheriff's Office, emphasizing their commitment to the well-being of students, staff, and families.
The Sheriff's Office will hold two symposiums to educate families on how threats are handled and the collaborative efforts with schools to maintain safety. The sessions are scheduled for February 26 at Colfax High School and February 27 at Del Oro High School, both at 6 p.m. The events are open to parents and guardians from all parts of Placer County, regardless of the school their children attend. "We take every reported threat seriously and work to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and families," the Placer County Sheriff's Office stated.
According to the Placer County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, they are offering free educational opportunities to the community to promote school safety. The Sheriff's Office encourages parents and guardians to participate in these discussions to help foster safer school environments. "We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to join us for this conversation about school safety." Additional event details are available on their Facebook page.
