Raleigh's spirit of innovation is set to receive a notable boost, as six local organizations have recently been awarded the Fall 2024 Impact Partner Grant. This initiative offers up to $20,000 in financial support, alongside programming and networking prospects to propel growth and inclusivity within the city's economic landscape.
These organizations were chosen from a pool of proposals by entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and businesses, all vying to reinforce Raleigh's economy with their inventive projects. According to the City of Raleigh staff and the local business and innovation leaders, who as a team reviewed each submission, the grants are aimed at bolstering our workforce, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, reviewed all proposals with the hope pinned for innovative solutions for strengthening Raleigh's economy.
A hearty applause is certainly due for the grantees, which include RIoT, a Raleigh-founded TBED organization focusing on job growth and business expansion. Women entrepreneurs in Raleigh, Durham, and eastern NC counties will find a vital resource in the Women's Business Center of North Carolina, an arm of the National Institute of Minority Economic Development that provides critical business support.
Hope Renovations not only assists underemployed women and gender expansive individuals through career pathways in construction but also aids the elderly in renovating their homes to age in place comfortably. While pushing forward these initiatives to reshape and improve job prospects, the Poe Center for Health Education is hard at work empowering North Carolina's youth towards healthier lives. Similarly engaged, Hope Renovations takes on the commendable dual task of preparing women and gender expansive individuals for construction careers and helping the elderly comfortably age in place through vital renovation projects.
