The City of Sacramento's Incident Management Team, tasked with the city's response to homelessness, has released its weekly progress report detailing their efforts from February 17-23. During this period, the city's 311 customer service received 814 calls related to unsheltered individuals, as per details provided in the report shared by the Sacramento City Express.

Of the calls received, 820 were reportedly addressed—the slight discrepancy accounted for by resolving previous outstanding issues. When the City staff arrived to inspect the sites reported, the issues were either remedied, compliance was achieved, or, the issues no longer existed, said the Sacramento City Express. The report outlines that as part of their outreach, the City's Department of Community Response has managed to enroll 42 people into shared local databases aimed at matching them with appropriate shelters and other resources.

Further efforts to mitigate homelessness included accommodating 14 individuals into the city's housing resources; the Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center (OEC). The city's Roseville Road campus currently has zero Pallet homes and one trailer available, while the OEC has six spaces open, according to the Sacramento City Express. The average number of openings at City-funded shelters, not counting those at Roseville Road campus and OEC, stood at six.

In the domain of sanitation and hygiene, the City reported a substantial waste removal effort, collecting 163,382 pounds of trash during the one-week period. The City maintains a data dashboard which follows the IMT's weekly progress, dating back to September 2023, allowing the public to track cumulative tallies for outreach, compliance, and cleanup efforts. This functionality, reportedly serves as a tool for transparency and public engagement in Sacramento's approach to handling the homelessness crisis.
