Seattle Parks and Recreation has announced a temporary closure of the Magnuson Off-Leash Area from February 19 to February 21 to conduct routine maintenance and improvements. During this period, the popular dog park will be inaccessible to the public as crews work to enhance the space for both pets and their owners.
Despite the brief closure, dog owners will have access to alternative off-leash areas (OLAs) throughout the city. Seattle Parks and Recreation has provided a comprehensive guide on its website, including a map detailing the locations of other designated off-leash areas for convenience.
While the temporary shutdown may cause a short-term disruption for frequent visitors, the department emphasizes that this maintenance is essential to ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for all. Residents are encouraged to utilize other available OLAs during this time and to adhere to the closure guidelines.
