The City of Surprise, nestled within the expanses of Arizona, is calling upon its citizens to step forward and apply for a significant role. In an opportunity for residents to have a more active hand in the judiciary's future, the City of Surprise has announced a vacancy on the Judicial Selection Advisory Commission that requires filling—a civic duty for any engaged civilian looking to contribute.
Applications are open until February 28, a deadline that offers a window for the community's potential leaders to step into the space of influence. According to City of Surprise, the position is voluntary and bears the responsibility of helping select the judiciaries that will serve the City of Surprise.
Eligibility for consideration is straightforward: applicants need only to be residents of Surprise. With the foundational requirement met, potential commissioners can visit surpriseaz.gov/Boards to obtain an application form.
For those inclined towards traditional correspondence, the city has provided options. Completed applications, ripe with the aspirations of hopeful public servants, can be emailed directly to [email protected] or delivered by mail or in person to the City Clerk’s office at Surprise City Hall, located on North Civic Center Plaza. With operating hours running Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., City Hall stands ready to receive submissions. Assistance and inquiries can be channelled through the same email or by calling 623.222.1200, the City of Surprise stated.
