Surprise's very own Surprise Youth Council (SYC) is once again opening its doors to new members. In a bid to foster civic engagement and leadership development among the youth, SYC beckons students from seventh through eleventh grades to join their ranks. This initiative is not only a means to volunteer but also an opportunity to forge fellowship with like-minded peers who are keen to make a difference in the community.
The recruitment drive is set to officially launch on February 10th, with an informative Open House slated for March 12th at Café 60 - a venue conveniently situated at the south entrance of Surprise City Hall. The event promises prospective members and their families the chance to "learn more about SYC, ask questions and meet current members," as detailed in a statement made by the City of Surprise.
Interested parties must to act quickly to submit their applications by April 4. The application process isn't just about forms but requires candidates to also present a short video. All necessary information and access to the online application can be found by visiting Surprise's official website or by reaching out directly via their dedicated contact number.
