A suspect has been arrested following the fatal shooting of a man outside a North Hollywood bar over the weekend. The Los Angeles Police Department said the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday and left 32-year-old Luke Reynolds dead from multiple gunshot wounds on the 11100 block of Magnolia Boulevard, near Lankershim Boulevard. "Several individuals" were involved in a confrontation in front of the bar, which became violent and escalated into a shooting, as reported by ABC7.

Authorities identified the suspect as 46-year-old Carlos Meza, who was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon. The details of Meza's arrest have not been fully disclosed, and as of yet, law enforcement has not provided information on the second man involved in the incident, who reportedly fled the scene with Meza. KTLA notes that the suspect and the victim were initially involved in a verbal altercation at the bar before the incident turned deadly. Meanwhile, a bystander's video showed the violent encounter but did not capture the moment of the shooting.

A temporary memorial with flowers and candles has sprung up near the scene where Reynolds was shot. Gerald Yates, a friend of Reynolds, expressed his sorrow in a report by ABC7, saying, "I've known this dude for at least 11 years. He's always been someone that's always been kind, witty, just tenacious with an infectious smile. The world is missing someone right now."

Investigations are ongoing, and the LAPD is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. According to a report by KCAL News, individuals with any knowledge that might contribute to the case are encouraged to contact the LAPD's North Hollywood Station.
