
Three people were arrested after an alleged organized retail theft in St. Clair County, followed by a police pursuit on multiple highways. The incident began around 3:30 p.m. last Sunday at Dunham's Sports in Birchwood Mall, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and CBS Detroit. The suspects, identified as Vince Prince of Redford and Keisha and Yolanda Price of Detroit, were seen leaving the store quickly and getting into a gold 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
Sheriff's deputies saw the Escalade driving west on Keewahdin Road. The vehicle stopped in the middle of North Road, but when officers approached, the driver took off, leading to a chase. The Escalade moved through traffic, heading north on North Road, then to Wadhams Road, east on Interstate 69, and west on Interstate 94. It eventually stopped at a Love's gas station, as stated by CBS Detroit.
Deputies arrested three individuals and found stolen merchandise with tags still attached, along with tools commonly used for removing security devices, as mentioned by ClickOnDetroit. The suspects had prior records of similar offenses. Vince Prince was charged with first-degree felony retail fraud and third-degree felony fleeing, with a bond set at $75,000. Keisha and Yolanda Price were each charged with first-degree felony retail fraud, with bonds set at $25,000, FOX 2 Detroit reports.
