Two individuals are facing charges after a series of robberies in San Bernardino and Los Angeles County brought law enforcement agencies together in collaborative pursuit, culminating in the arrest of 27-year-old Freddy Lopez from La Puente and 24-year-old Pedro Loera from Oak Hills.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, the first incident occurred last Tuesday 4 at approximately 11:30 a.m. when deputies responded to a robbery at Arco gas station on 1600 Devore Road, at that time Lopez, wielding a firearm and hidden beneath a red hooded jacket, black pants, and black ski mask, coerced the cashier to hand over more than $1,000 in cash in addition to several California Lottery scratchers then fled the scene in a dark Chevrolet Traverse believed to have been driven by an accomplice, Loera.

Later, following an attempted evasion of Los Angeles County deputies after a similar incident, Lopez was apprehended, the joint investigation between the two county sheriff’s departments then linked Lopez and Loera to their respective roles in the robberies that spanned the two jurisdictions, leading to their arrests and charges for robbery, as reported by the Sheriff's Department.

Both suspects are currently booked in Los Angeles County, with plans for transportation to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's jurisdiction after local proceedings conclude, as for anyone with further information on these crimes the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is encouraging contact with Deputy Robert Beler, offering the opportunity for anonymity through the We-Tip Hotline or the website they maintain for this purpose.
