Clark County has announced a full 24-hour closure of the CC-215 Beltway from Tropicana Avenue to Flamingo Road. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. on February 28, and is expected to last until 9 p.m. on March 1. The shutdown is necessary to allow construction crews to safely pour the concrete deck for the new Peace Way bridge, according to the Clark County.
Clark County's Department of Public Works warns drivers of upcoming lane reductions before a bridge closure, with southbound lanes narrowing near Town Center Drive and northbound lanes near Sunset Road. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternative routes. A recommended detour uses Fort Apache Road to access northbound CC-215 at Flamingo Road and southbound CC-215 at Tropicana Avenue. Navigation apps like Waze, Google Maps, and Apple Maps can provide real-time traffic updates during construction.
The $19.8 million Peace Way bridge project in Southwest Valley includes road rehabilitation on Peace Way from Hualapai Way to Cimarron Road, curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements, and a new traffic signal at the Hualapai Way and Peace Way intersection. The project began in June 2024 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2025. There are 24-hour lane restrictions on Peace Way, with one lane open in each direction. Travelers are advised to plan accordingly. More information is available on the Clark County Public Works website.
