A residential structure in Waipahu was the scene of a significant fire earlier this week. The blaze, which was reported at 94-309 Waikele Road last Saturday, drew a response from 10 different fire units consisting of 43 personnel, according to the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD).
The emergency call came in at 11:13 a.m., and the first responders were on-site by 11:18 a.m., confronted with a live fire situation in a two-story building. The firefighters swiftly secured a water supply and launched an aggressive attack on the flames, managing to bring the fire under control by 11:39 a.m., as per the report. The statement obtained by the Honolulu Fire Department goes on to detail that the fire was completely extinguished by 12:54 p.m.
A rigorous search by the firefighters confirmed that no occupants were inside at the time of the incident. The residence will now be the subject of an investigation to determine the fire’s origin, its cause, and the extent of the damages it wrought. According to the HFD, these details will be made available once they have wrapped up their investigation.
