An early morning shooting in Alpine Township left one woman dead and two others seriously injured, prompting a manhunt that culminated in a suspect's arrest. According to WZZM 13, the shooting began as a domestic dispute and took place around 2:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Tabor Road NW. A neighbor reported hearing a loud noise and requested a welfare check from law enforcement, while one of the injured victims also called 911 to report the shooting.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) dispatched deputies to the location and found a woman estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old deceased at the scene. Two other women, aged 30 and 36, were discovered with serious injuries but have since been stabilized, as reported by FOX 17 News. Nathan Schaner, a neighbor, recounted the chilling series of events saying, "The first thing I wake up to at 2:30 is just gunshots going off. I think up to 10." Schaner also noted the prompt response of the police to the scene following his call to dispatch.

The shooter, a man in his 40s, fled the scene, leading to a near five-hour search before law enforcement apprehended him. The suspect's capture around 7 a.m. was also detailed by WWMT News, including a description of the dark green Dodge Ram pickup truck he used to make his escape. The KCSO had warned that the suspect was considered armed and dangerous during the manhunt.

Investigations at the scene remained active as evidence was being processed. While no additional suspects are believed to be involved, KCSO is urging anyone with further information about the incident to come forward.
