An attempted murder suspect, Jordan Bailey, who allegedly was involved in a shooting incident on March 13, was apprehended following a multi-agency vehicle pursuit that concluded on the streets of Winter Park, as per details from local authorities. The Kissimmee Police Department, with the assistance of the US Marshals Task Force, Osceola and Orange County deputies, and the Florida Highway Patrol, brought the chase to an end near Clay Street and Fairbanks Avenue, WESH reported.
Bailey was wanted on charges of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after a shooting that took place at 3307 Pershing Street in Kissimmee. Incidentally, that chase, starting in Osceola County, ended in Orange County when an Orange County deputy performed a pit maneuver gripping the suspect’s maroon truck, which brought him careening to a stop south of Fairbanks Avenue, according to a report from WFTV.
Witnesses to the scene described a commotion of police activity typically foreign to the area, with one local, Matthew Neall, expressing his shock at the proximity of the arrest to his residence, stating, "It’s crazy that there was a potential murder suspect that just, this, I mean, is a block away from my house," WFTV relayed his words.
Footage from the scene illuminated the sizable presence of law enforcement, and an Orange County Sheriff’s Office cruiser was observed with notable front-end damage. However, no deputies sustained injuries during the apprehension.
