In a significant recovery operation, the Baldwin Park Police Department has uncovered a cache of stolen items believed to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from two storage units in the city. The search warrant executed on January 28 and 29 was part of an investigation into an organized theft group operating across Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties, as noted by the Baldwin Park Police in an Instagram post picked up by KTLA.
The suspects, using a white Toyota Sienna with CARMAX paper plates, reportedly targeted warehouses and loading bays, where they snatched items left unattended near rolling doors or on pallets. The recovered goods include a range of products, from projectors and translator earbuds to tablets and clothing. The photos of these items were shared in an effort by the police to locate more victims of the theft, as detailed by NBC Los Angeles. While it is not clear if arrests have been made, the Baldwin Park Police Department Detective Bureau at 626-960-1955 is a place anyone who recognizes the stolen property can contact.
Furthering the push for public assistance, a Facebook post from the Baldwin Park Police Department urged anyone with information about the thefts or who believes they may be a victim to get in touch. They are also seeking help in identifying additional victims who may have been targeted by this theft ring. Stolen property connected to over 20 cases from the tri-county area has been recovered with the cooperation of the Baldwin Park Detective Bureau following the warrant's execution, as the post on the department's official Facebook page indicates. The department can be reached at 626 960-1055 ext. 418, based on the information provided in their Facebook post.
Community members are encouraged to review the photographs of the recovered property attached to the department's communications and contact the detectives if they recognize any items.
