In response to the recent storm that swept through Carrollton, the City has enlisted CrowderGulf Disaster Recovery & Debris Management to commence collecting storm debris from residential areas starting this March 24. Republic Services will continue its regular schedule, accommodating the usual trash, recycling, and bulk waste pick-up for residents.

Since the beginning of March, more than 1.8 million pounds of brush and bulk refuse have been collected, a necessary response to the severe weather that hit the community. According to a City of Carrollton update, CrowderGulf will prioritize the cleanup of fencing materials and vegetative debris, such as tree branches, leaves, and twigs, in a specific effort to quickly address the most hard-hit areas first, notably those falling under Tuesday’s usual collection routes.

Residents can expect the salvage crews to work through the scheduled trash collection days, from Tuesday to Monday, until the cleanup is complete. Some temporary skips may be necessary to handle obstacles like low-hanging branches or power lines, but all areas will eventually receive service. The City advises residents to keep storm and bulk debris separate and to ensure there's at least a three-foot distance between these piles and other objects.

For those preferring to dispose of their debris, the City will cover the cost of dropping off up to three cubic yards at Camelot Landfill tomorrow. The landfill drop-off requires a valid ID and water bill for proof of residency. In their recent update, City officials reminded residents that debris must be secured with a tarp, and commercial vehicles are prohibited.
