Charlotte's fresh grads just got another shot at kick-starting their careers with the city's own Employment to Education (E2E) program. Crafted to draw recent Charlotte-Mecklenburg School (CMS) alumni into the workforce, E2E is now open for applications, the City of Charlotte’s Office of Workforce Development confirmed.
Now in its sophomore year, E2E plays matchmaker, connecting grads with a range of full-time roles across city departments. Grads joining the program slide straight into full pay and benefits. "The city is proud to continue our E2E program and looking forward to welcoming more CMS graduates to join Team Charlotte," Danielle Frazier, Special Assistant to the City Manager for Workforce Development, remarked, emphasizing the program's role in "increasing economic opportunities.," as per the City of Charlotte.
Fourteen varied gigs are laid out on the table this round, spanning jobs in Aviation, the Charlotte Area Transit System, Charlotte Department of Transportation, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Charlotte Water, Department of General Services, and Housing & Neighborhood Services.
Successful applicants aren't only promised a paycheck. They're signing up for on-the-rig training, the privilege of benefits, continued education resources, and even a personal career coach, a move clearly aimed at helping these young professionals tap into their potential and move through career tracks. All this info comes straight from the City of Charlotte's official newsletter.
If you're a CMS grad looking to grab one of these chances, or know someone perfect for the gig, direct your browser to the program's details and application on the City of Charlotte’s website. But don't let the clock wind down - this opportunity is as fleeting as the days post-graduation.
