In a recent operation, Chester County Sheriff's Deputies apprehended a suspect who was at large with multiple outstanding arrest warrants. The suspect, identified as Laurkeia Montgomery, was wanted on charges as grave as weapons violations, criminal sexual conduct, and assault and battery.
According to a social media post by Chester County Sheriff's Office, Montgomery attempted to initially throw deputies off his trail by providing a false identity. Despite this, the deputies managed to not only verify his real identity, but also "to successfully take one subject into custody" on the outstanding warrants from three different Law Enforcement Agencies.
The charges against Montgomery were issued by high-profile law enforcement agencies including the United States Marshals Service for weapons violations, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office for criminal sexual conduct 3rd degree, and the Lancaster Police Department for assault and battery 2nd degree. These serious allegations paint a picture of a multifaceted criminal profile that Chester County Sheriff's Deputies were determined to address.
Moreover, the deputies' search unveiled additional cause for concern, as Montgomery was found to be in possession of illegal substances. He was found "in possession of illegal substances believed to be Cocaine, Ecstasy, and THC Wax," the Chester County Sheriff's Office revealed. Alongside the initial warrants, Montgomery now faces charges for providing false information to a law enforcement officer, with more charges likely to be added regarding the narcotics found in his possession.
Local community members have been closely following the developments of this case, with the quick and effective response of the Sheriff's Deputies bringing a criminal suspect to justice.
