The City of Dallas is opening its doors and digital lines for citizen participation concerning the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget. If you've got something to say about where your tax dollars should go, now's your time to step up. The City Council Listening Sessions are slated to run from March 24 through March 27, allowing Dallas residents to voice their thoughts directly to council members before they crack their knuckles and work on the new budget.
With an assortment of in-person and virtual town hall meetings, the city tries to make it as easy as possible for folks to chime in. According to the City of Dallas announcement, Spanish interpretation will be provided at select meetings, ensuring a wider community can access the process. If English or Spanish isn't your first language or you need an ASL interpreter, email [email protected], and they'll sort you out.
It's a packed schedule with something for nearly every district. Here's a quick rundown: Districts 10 & 11 kick things off in person at the Willie B. Johnson Recreation Center, while District 3 opens the virtual floor, complete with Spanish interpretation available.
