Dallas residents can expect a shift from cloudy to sunny skies today as the weather takes a turn, according to recent reports. The forecast predicts today's high to reach near 84 degrees with winds transitioning from south to north in the afternoon and gusts that could reach up to 20 mph, the National Weather Service stated. As evening approaches, the skies are expected to clear up, setting the stage for a low of around 52 degrees with the north wind calming to 5 to 10 mph.
The upcoming week suggests a consistent sunny outlook with Monday showing highs near 81 and a calm northeast wind turning south southeast in the afternoon. Nighttime will continue the clear trend, dipping down to a low of around 57 degrees. The heat is set to rise on Tuesday, potentially reaching 90 degrees, the calm winds taking a southerly direction as the day progresses. However, residents should prepare for a change in conditions as Tuesday night carries a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, chiefly after 1 a.m. Temperatures are expected to hover around 63 degrees under partly cloudy skies and a gentle south-southeast wind, the forecast states.
Midweek weather brings a further possibility of rainfall with Wednesday offering a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before the early afternoon. While the high is predicted near 82 degrees, clouds will persist, and an east southeast wind will pick up at 5 to 10 mph. This pattern of potential afternoon showers extends into Thursday with the same chance of precipitation post-1 p.m., clouds, and high temperatures in the low 80s.
By Friday, the likelihood of showers and possibly a thunderstorm climbs to a 60 percent chance, keeping skies mostly cloudy with a high near 77 degrees. As the night sets in, the odds for thunderstorms remain steady at 40 percent, and the temperature is expected to linger around 65. The week will close with a reduced 20 percent chance of showers on Saturday. Despite this, the day should be partly sunny with a high nearing 83 degrees, reported the National Weather Service.
