The Detroit Police Department urgently requests the public's assistance in locating William Willis, a 42-year-old man who has been reported missing in Detroit. According to a news release on Tuesday, Willis was slated to meet with his mother this past Sunday but never showed up at the agreed-upon location in the 7600 block of E. Jefferson Avenue.
Willis, described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 198 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, was last spotted wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black boots. His mother has voiced concerns about his mental health. Efforts to effectively search and safely return him to his family are being significantly hindered without the public's help. The same day as the announcement, the Detroit Police Department's Missing also took to social media to amplify their plea for information, posting a notice on Facebook that included contact details for anyone who might have seen Willis or knows of his whereabouts.
Police urge anyone with information to promptly contact the Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct at (313) 596-5740. Alternatively, they can contact crime stoppers anonymously to bring William back to his worried family possibly.
