Fleeing the collision without a trace, the driver left Garcia in critical condition. The Special Traffic Investigations Unit that responded to the scene reported transporting Mr. Garcia to the hospital. However, despite medical efforts, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. With the loss of Mr. Garcia, traffic fatalities have increased compared to the same period last year, rising from 13 to 16.
