Last night in Ross Township, a sudden crash disrupted the peace, resulting in multiple injuries and sending four people—including two children—to the hospital. According to WPXI, emergency crews hurried to the scene at the intersection of McIntyre Road and McKnight Road at around 6:42 p.m. following a signal from dispatchers to confront the consequences of what police believe was caused by a vehicle's failed U-turn attempt.
Initial reports indicated that as many as six individuals may have needed medical attention after the collision on McKnight Road. However, Ross Township Police Chief Brian Kohlepp clarified that only four were taken—the occupants of the vehicle that had been attempting to to swiftly make a U-turn, including a man, a woman, and two children, as they found their journey violently interrupted by the other involved vehicles, causing their car to roll onto its side.
With the safety of the passengers teetering in precarity, the adults found refuge in Allegheny General Hospital, where the woman was treated for pain. At the same time, CBS News Pittsburgh reported that the professionals at the Children's Hospital were entrusted with the children's welfare for an evaluation. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the upheaval that left vehicles mangled and spirits shaken, another person from an alternate vehicle sought treatment for knee pain.
