A fatal collision in Diamond Bar claimed the life of at least one individual early Tuesday when two cars collided, splitting one vehicle in half, officials reported. KTLA noted the incident occurred near North Diamond Bar Boulevard and Temple Avenue around 12:15 a.m., with Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. Wong confirming the fatality at the scene and another victim transported in unknown condition to a hospital by L.A. County fire personnel; however, authorities have not yet revealed which victim was in which car at the time of the crash.
According to a report by NBC Los Angeles, the situation unfolded near the same intersection, where Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced one person dead and another injured but details on what led to the multi-car crash are still not clear, the cause of the violent collision is currently under active investigation by the sheriff's department.
Adding to the details, FOX LA described the severity of the crash, indicating that when first responders arrived, they encountered a vehicle that had been torn in two, as a result to the impact near W. Mission Boulevard and W. Temple Avenue, just east of the 57 Freeway with one individual being declared dead at the scene by paramedics and at least one other person rushed to the hospital, though their condition remains undisclosed.
