The Transportation and Public Works Department has announced improvements along Long Ave in North Fort Worth to bolster pedestrian safety. According to the City of Fort Worth, these enhancements will include the installation of new traffic signals, striping, pedestrian crossing signals, raised medians, and sidewalks.
Residents of the area are invited to a community meeting to discuss the project's finer points, including construction timelines and potential impacts. Hosted by the Transportation and Public Works Department, the gathering is scheduled to take place at the North Tri-Ethnic Community Center.
The meeting’s details are straightforward, and they want their voices heard. The city urges locals to attend. Today, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the department hopes for a strong community turnout at 2950 Roosevelt Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76106. Furthermore, residents are encouraged to extend the invitation to their neighbors, amplifying the communal dialogue.
Seth Cooksey, P.E., Project Manager for the City of Fort Worth Transportation & Public Works Department, is leading the project. For those seeking additional information or unable to make the meeting, Mr. Cooksey serves as a point of contact—he can be reached by phone at 817-682-3181 or via email at [email protected].
