The City of Germantown and the Germantown Education Foundation have announced the return of Germantown Lemonade Stand Day on May 3. The event provides an opportunity for participants to sell lemonade, develop business skills, engage with the community, and raise funds for Germantown Education Foundation and a selected charity, according to the City of Germantown.
Young entrepreneurs will operate lemonade stands across Germantown from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of a business and fundraising event. The Big Squeeze Food Truck Festival at The Grove at GPAC will follow, recognizing standout stands. Early bird registration is $30 until April 3, and general registration is $40 from April 4 to April 24. Day-of registration is not allowed. Donations must be submitted to Germantown Education Foundation by 5 p.m. on May 3 to be eligible for fundraising awards, as reported by the City of Germantown.
The annual Germantown lemonade stand event will take place on May 3, with awards for Best Decorated Stand, Most Money Raised, and the Neighborhood Participation Award, which includes a $500 microgrant for local initiatives. Participants must obtain permission for private property locations before registering, and location changes will not be allowed after April 24.
