
The Glendale Police Department has turned to the public for assistance in a sexual assault case involving Fernando Barreto-Hernandez, a 24-year-old delivery driver. Barreto-Hernandez is accused of sexually assaulting a female adult on January 21, 2025, while on duty delivering for Amazon in the area of Brand Boulevard and Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale.
Following the incident, the suspect was apprehended in connection with a previous assault in Los Angeles, where he allegedly sexually assaulted a female minor in December 2024. After his appearance in court on February 21, 2025, for the Los Angeles case, Barreto-Hernandez was arrested for the Glendale incident as well and is currently out on bond.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed multiple charges against Barreto-Hernandez, consisting of both felony and misdemeanor counts. A report from the official news release by Glendale Police states that he has worked for several delivery services, including Amazon, Amazon Flex, and FedEx, heightening concerns that there might be additional victims.
