This extensive background in law, particularly involving youth and family affairs, makes him an experienced candidate for his nominated role. Palumbo's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University and a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law. He resides in Pocasset, and according to his own words provided on Mass.gov, Palumbo acknowledged Governor Healey’s recognition of his dedication to the mission of the Juvenile Court.

Its jurisdiction spans over civil, and criminal matters like delinquencies, care and protection cases, and it holds court in more than 40 locations with 42 judges on the bench. Palumbo’s appointment would fall in line with a series of nominations by Governor Healey which includes Jennifer Currie, Tiffanie Ellis-Niles, Andrew Hoffman, Audrey Murillo, Jeannie Rhinehart, Fabiola White, and Karin Wilinski for various roles within the Juvenile Court.
