The storm has passed over Houston, with sunny skies and a high temperature expected to reach 67 degrees. The northwest wind will blow at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts possibly reaching 20 mph later in the day, according to the National Weather Service.
As the day concludes in Houston, residents can anticipate a mostly clear evening with temperatures dropping to around 47 degrees. The wind will shift to an easterly direction after midnight, bringing mild and pleasant conditions for the evening.
The sunshine will persist through Thursday, chasing the high near a pleasant 69 degrees, with an east wind at a mild 5 to 10 mph that will swing southeast in the afternoon, while FOX 26 Houston reports that humidity levels will drop to around 15% this afternoon.
However, the dry breezes may offer little relief to Houston’s allergy sufferers, as tree pollen levels have risen and dust levels are expected to be higher than usual, potentially worsening symptoms. After yesterday’s thunderstorms, the city can look forward to a break from the rain, with clear skies and low humidity in the forecast for the coming days.
Looking ahead, Friday will bring increasing clouds, milder conditions, and the potential for light drizzle, along with a south breeze. Saturday will have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 78 degrees.
The latter part of the weekend will see more sunshine, with Sunday’s forecast from the National Weather Service predicting clear skies and a high of around 63 degrees. Temperatures may rise into the 70s early next week, with the possibility of reaching the low to mid-80s later on.
