A juvenile suspect has been arrested in connection with a carjacking incident that occurred in Culver City on Monday. According to a report from KTLA, the suspect was apprehended after Culver City police responded to a reported carjacking at a parking lot on the 10800 block of Jefferson Boulevard at around 9 p.m. The female victim reported being accosted by three male suspects, ages ranging between 16 and 25, and wearing red bandannas.

The suspects had managed to forcefully snatch the victim's purse and car keys before quickly finding and stealing her vehicle, which they drove away in while being followed by another vehicle. Despite the Culver City Police's immediate search to locate the suspects, they had fled the scene prior to the arrival of the authorities. They were later to successfully locate and process the stolen car for evidence after finding it unoccupied in Los Angeles the following morning at around 6:30 a.m., as noted by a press release from the Culver City Police Department.

Forensic analysis, including the recovery of latent fingerprints from the stolen vehicle, led to the identification of one of the suspects as a Los Angeles juvenile. The Culver City Police Department’s Forensic Unit's efforts culminated in the juvenile's arrest on Tuesday.. "This rapid response and successful apprehension highlight the dedication and efficiency of the Culver City Police Department in addressing and resolving criminal activity in the community," stated the Police Department.

The identity of the juvenile suspect has not been released due to their age, and the investigation is ongoing as the other two suspects remain at large.
