Kaitlin Brantley's Bond Revoked, Charged with New Assault at Memphis McDonald's After Previous Cheddar's IncidentSource: Facebook/Shelby County District Attorney's Office

A series of incidents involving Kaitlin Brantley has culminated in her bond being revoked after authorities deemed her a community threat. According to an Action News 5 report, Brantley, originally indicted for an assault at a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in 2023, is now charged with assault and vandalism following an encounter at a McDonald's. Allegedly disgruntled over an order mistake, Brantley is said to have climbed through the drive-thru window and launched an assault on the shift manager.

Brantley, who had been out on a $20,000 bond, saw it revoked after her recent arrest. The Shelby County District Attorney's Office, in a social media post, stated Brantley posed a danger to society, citing a "clear and ongoing pattern of dangerous conduct." The post also mentioned video evidence, Facebook messages from Brantley's family, and witness testimonies presented in court advocating for revocation of her bond.

In the Cheddar's incident, Brantley was accused of being the primary aggressor in an attack on then-17-year-old host Omarion Ford due to a seating delay. The assault was captured on camera and left Ford with significant anxiety and an aversion to public spaces—effects that continue to grip him after the ordeal, according to an interview with WREG.

Omarion's mother, Latisha Ford, reached out to the McDonald's manager to offer support, and in a remarkable turn, the manager spoke during Brantley's court hearing for the Cheddar's case, as detailed in WREG's reporting. "She really needs some time to think about the things that she does and the things that she does to people and how she affects people's lives with the bad decisions that she makes," Latisha Ford said, responding to the revoked bond and implications for plea deals.

Omarion Ford noted the recurrence of Brantley's actions; she was again attacking individuals in their workplace. "It's like she’s not learning from what she did to me," he told WREG. Brantley faces her next moment of reckoning in court on April 24.
