Knoxville's District Attorney General Charme Allen has launched a "Cops in Court" training program aimed at enhancing courtroom skills for local law enforcement officers. The initiative, which includes officers from the University of Tennessee Police Department, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Knoxville Police Department, focuses on preparing officers to deliver clear and effective testimony in court, as per Charme Allen, District Attorney General Official Facebook post.
The training covers legal protocols and verbal communication techniques to help officers present their testimony confidently. Allen praised the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to improving their courtroom abilities.
This training is part of a broader effort to ensure that law enforcement officers are well-prepared for courtroom proceedings, helping to maintain public trust and ensure a fair representation of facts.
