A Knoxville man, identified as Davante Deshawn Gamble, is facing serious charges, including three counts of attempted first-degree murder following last Friday night incident, according to local law enforcement. Court records accessed by WATE reveal that the suspect is also charged with aggravated burglary and employing a firearm with the intent to go armed during a dangerous felony.
The trouble began when a Knoxville woman, absent from her Thomas Street residence, used her Ring camera to witness two masked individuals attempting a break-in. In response, she and two others drove to the scene. As they approached the area of Dakota Avenue and O'Neal Street, they encountered a car fleeing from the vicinity of her home. The passenger, who would later be identified as Gamble, allegedly aimed a gun at the victim's car and fired, ripping the quiet of the night with gunfire that marked her vehicle, as per the court documents obtained by WATE.
An investigation conducted by the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) led to Gamble's apprehension. The 32-year-old consented to interact with detectives and subsequently was taken into custody.
