At approximately 12:30 p.m. yesterday, they received a distress call from an adult male who claimed to have fatally shot a woman and child at 542 Mosteller Drive. Upon arrival, deputies encountered the armed man standing outside the residence.
The situation quickly escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the deputies and the armed man. The incident ultimately resulted in the man's death, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Afterward, the coroner was summoned to the location. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office posted about the incident, confirming these details.
