A coordinated law enforcement effort in Lenoir City resulted in the arrests of six individuals and the seizure of firearms and narcotics. The raid took place on Beals Chapel Road, a known hotspot for criminal activity. The operation, led by the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force with support from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office and Blount County Sheriff's SWAT Team, was announced by District Attorney General Russell Johnson, according to WVLT.
The raid on Monday followed a lengthy investigation. Agents obtained a search warrant for Michael Brown's residence in the 14000 block of Beals Chapel Road, where sustained criminal activities had been reported. Authorities found over 100 grams of methamphetamine, 20 firearms, fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone, psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana, and various prescription pills, WATE reported. Eight people were present during the raid, and six were arrested and charged.
The suspects, including Michael Brown, Jennifer Helton, David Queener, Cheryl Stockton, Michael Nalls, and David Hensley, now face felony drug charges, along with additional firearms charges due to their criminal histories. The operation was hailed as a success for the community by Drug Task Force Deputy Director Brendan Deboer, as per the WBIR.
District Attorney Johnson stated that the property had been a center for illegal activity, with frequent law enforcement calls and ongoing drug use. The 9th Judicial Drug Task Force, which includes agents from local police departments, the US Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations, the National Guard Counter Drug Program, and the District Attorney’s Office, continues to focus on dismantling drug-related crimes in the area.
