Pet owners have another opportunity to keep their furry companions safe and sound without breaking the bank. The City of Lewisville has partnered with the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) to offer a low-cost pet vaccine clinic next Saturday. Set for April 5, 10 a.m. to noon, the clinic will run at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center on 995 E. Valley Ridge Boulevard, as reported by the City of Lewisville's official announcement.
Prices are kept minimal to ensure that pet healthcare is accessible for all. Dogs will get tested and vaccinated against a slew of common ailments, including Rabies, Bordetella, DAPPv, Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease, Canine Influenza, and Heartworm. Cat owners, don't feel left out. Your feline friends are eligible for Rabies, FeLV, FHCPCh, and FIV vaccines. It's important to note that a negative heartworm test is required before TCAP can prescribe heartworm prevention.
The clinic also extends its services to include various other wellness procedures at a reduced cost. Remember, for the safety and comfort of everyone involved, dogs need to be leashed and cats securely housed in a hard-sided carrier.
To ensure every pet owner in Lewisville can take advantage of this offer, two additional vaccine clinics will be available on July 7 and October 4. For more specifics, the TCAP website can be visited at texasforthem.org/denton, where interested parties can find further details and plan accordingly to ensure their pets are up-to-date on their health needs.
