The Loudon County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's aid in catching a couple of high-dollar fraudsters. The suspects in question are responsible for running up a more than hefty $40,000 tab on fraudulent credit card transactions, as reported by the sheriff's office's Facebook page. These transactions weren't your typical swipe-and-dash either. They were methodically executed at Sloan's Village Home Center in Tellico Village.
Diving into specifics, the suspects played a tricky game using four different credit cards lifted from separate victims to snag building materials. The haul must've been substantial because a hefty brown GMC dually truck was required for transport. Those at the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, including Sergeant Detective Skylar Mills, lead this investigation. The evidence trail might seem warm, but they're banking on community members to step up with any recognitions or clues.
According to the social media post by the sheriff's office, anyone who recognizes these individuals or maybe even the truck or trailer they used – think hard. This could be anything from a distinctive dent to a patch of rust or a bumper sticker – should get on the line with Sergeant Detective Mills ASAP. He can be reached at 865-986-4823 or, for those more keyboard-inclined, [email protected].
