Violence disrupted the rhythm of East Hollywood late Thursday night when a gunman opened fire at a local recording studio, resulting in one man being hospitalized. According to KTLA, the incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. at The Room Recording Studios, situated at 4550 Melrose Ave, near the 101 Freeway.
Upon their arrival, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department discovered the victim, now identified, with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, his condition remains undisclosed. A perimeter was established by the police, though the gunman had already left the scene, said Officer Miller with the LAPD. No suspect description was available other than the individual believed to be fleeing in a white Audi.
The shooting, uncovered by FOX LA, appears to have erupted during a robbery. Per the LAPD's initial investigation details, the victim was shot while being robbed of a Rolex watch. After the attack, the victim was rushed to an area hospital for surgery.
