A coordinated effort by local law enforcement led to the arrest of three suspects following an auto theft at the Habitat For Humanity Restore on Winchester Road in Memphis. The Memphis Police Department Facebook page reported that officers were called to 7130 Winchester Road on the morning of Wednesday about a stolen vehicle.

Later that day, the department's Auto Theft Task Force, along with the Bartlett Crime Suppression Unit, the Germantown Special Enforcement Team, the Appling Farms Task Force, and the North Main Station Task Force, located the suspect vehicle, a black 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, near 630 South B.B. King. When officers approached, three male suspects fled the car but were quickly caught.

During searches, officers found incriminating items. Charterio Porter, the driver, had a firearm. J’Marion Moore was found with marijuana. Paterrio Hopson, the front passenger, had keys to two stolen vehicles and was carrying a modified fully automatic rifle, despite being a convicted felon. Another stolen vehicle, linked to Hopson by the keys, was found at 1600 Hunters Bluff Drive and had been involved in an auto burglary.

The suspects face multiple charges, including theft, aggravated assault, auto burglary, evading arrest, illegal weapons possession, and drug offenses. Each suspect's bond is set at $150,000.
