Two individuals were arrested in connection with a series of robberies in Memphis, following the efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies. The Memphis Police Department announced the arrests on their official Facebook page, detailing four aggravated robberies that took place from Wednesday last week until this recent Wednesday. The suspects targeted dollar stores in Appling Farms Station and Shelby County, leading to a pursuit by the Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF).

The suspects were identified as Marcus Veasley, an 18-year-old out on bond for previous offenses, and a 16-year-old male whose name has not been released due to his juvenile status. Veasley was reportedly armed with a rifle during the robberies and fired the weapon during a robbery on Berryhill Road. The suspects used stolen vehicles, including a blue Hyundai Elentra and a black 2013 Hyundai Sonata, for their getaways.

A search operation involving the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Germantown Police Department led to the suspects' capture. When officers attempted to arrest them, a foot chase ensued, and Veasley was struck by a civilian vehicle while running into the street. He received medical treatment before being charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Robbery and other offenses.

Veasley's charges include four counts of Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property between $2,500 and $10,000, Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, and Evading Arrest on Foot. He was already out on bond for similar charges. The juvenile suspect faces charges of three counts of Aggravated Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The stolen vehicle and a weapon were recovered.
