
In a disturbing case of animal cruelty emanating from Memphis, Tennessee, the Memphis Police Department has disclosed the issuance of a warrant for an 18-year-old suspect, Christopher Triplett, charged with aggravated animal cruelty. According to a social media post by the department, a business located at the 700 block of South Lauderdale Street found a deceased dog on their property on Monday, March 3, 2025, leading to an immediate investigation.
Authorities, responding to the scene at around 11:24 a.m., were promptly advised that video evidence captured a male subject causing the dog's death. The subsequent investigation swiftly led to identifying the individual allegedly responsible for this act. Yesterday, Triplett was charged.
"During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the male responsible was Christopher Triplett," the Memphis Police Department disclosed in their online statement detailing the events leading up to the charge.
The suspect faced an aggravated animal cruelty charge.
