14-Year-Old Emily Pike Found Dismembered, Police Probe Intensifies After Fourth DisappearanceSource: Mesa Police Department

The tragic fate of 14-year-old Emily Pike found dismembered after being reported missing from a Mesa group home, continues to unravel in recently obtained police documents. According to ABC15, the Mesa Police released a report offering a timeline, that on January 27th Emily was reported missing by her group home manager after having left out of her bedroom window, having pushed out the window's screen.

The report, obtained by FOX10 Phoenix, delves into the days following her disappearance and reveals that this incident marked the fourth time Emily had gone missing. The group home manager noted previous instances, such as when Emily was found at Fitch Park, however, a check of this area by officers after her last disappearance turned up no leads, the Mesa Police have since been working to piece together the movements and potential whereabouts of the teenager in the days she was unaccounted for.

On February 19, the connection between Emily's case and the gruesome discovery of human remains became apparent. It was an agent with the Bureau of Indian Affairs who first suspected that Jane Doe might be the missing Mesa teenager. The remains found off U.S. 60 near Globe, were later confirmed to be Emily's. As the investigation morphed from a search for a missing person into a murder inquiry, the sense of urgency only grew within the community and law enforcement alike.

Tribal communities, united in mourning, have been vocal in their demands for justice. "Emily was a spark and she definitely sparked the world and now the world is on fire because of Emily," Emily's aunt April Victor emotionally stated in a March 4 interview with FOX10 Phoenix. The report from Mesa PD underscored Emily's background which included "behavioral and mental health concerns," for which she was under medication, as well as being under the case management of the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

A glimmer of hope was briefly presented in early February when an anonymous tipper alluded to Emily being with her mother on the San Carlos Apache Tribal Land, based on a Facebook post. However, this tip was discredited after Emily's mom refuted the claim to her case manager upon inquiry. Mesa PD's investigation is ongoing, and the public is urged to come forward with any information that might lead to apprehending the person or persons responsible for this harrowing crime.
