
Relief has spread through the community as the Pasco Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the previously missing 16-year-old Andre Pinkney was found safe. Prior concerns were triggered when Pinkney disappeared on Friday, around 8:40 p.m. in the vicinity of Hardaway Dr. in New Port Richey, prompting a search by the Pasco Sheriff's deputies.
Andre Pinkney, who was considered a runaway, has now thankfully made it back. Pinkney, described at 5'10" and about 140 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, was the subject of a public plea for information regarding his whereabouts. The efforts to quickly locate and safely return Pinkney to his family were taken up by a broad coalition of law enforcement and community members.
An official statement released by the Pasco Sheriff's Office provided no specific details on the circumstances surrounding Pinkney's return. The Office had earlier disseminated a call to action through their non-emergency line and their tip-reporting website, urging anyone with information to come forward.
