New Yorkers are in for a range of weather conditions throughout the boroughs. Manhattan can expect isolated showers later today with winds reaching gusts up to 34 mph, while nighttime will bring temperatures dropping to around 21 degrees, accompanied by considerable wind chill. Similarly, Brooklyn will see partly sunny skies today and a comparable drop in temperature overnight, as detailed by the National Weather Service.
Looking ahead, Queens residents should prepare for a sunny Sunday with a high near 32 degrees and wind chill values hovering between 10 and 20. As day turns into night, mostly clear skies are expected with a low around 20 degrees. The Bronx forecast is similar, although the Sunday high is predicted just a degree lower at 31.
Meanwhile, Staten Island will experience isolated showers after 2 p.m. today, with a gusty high of 56 degrees. Come Wednesday, rain is expected to move in across the boroughs, with the highest probability of precipitation reaching up to 90% during the night.
The National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook suggests that, while no immediate threats loom over the weekend, a gale warning is in effect from tonight at 6 p.m. to Sunday at 1 a.m. for the surrounding coastal waters. Residents should stay informed as no additional hazardous weather is anticipated during this period that would meet the National Weather Service's warning criteria.
