Three members of the Philadelphia street gang, Big Naddy Gang (BNG), were convicted and sentenced for their involvement in violent crimes, including three murders and multiple shootings in 2021. The convictions were announced by Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who praised the Gun Violence Task Force (GVTF) for their efforts in securing the convictions.

According to Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office release, the defendants, Dontae Sutton, Jamir Brunson-Gans, and Elijah Soto, were involved in a shooting on September 29, 2021, which resulted in the death of Chaundrah Jones, a mother of two, and injuries to two other women. The defendants mistakenly fired 49 shots at the victims' vehicle, believing they were targeting someone else. The convictions also covered the murders of Jordan Murray, which stemmed from an Instagram dispute, and Jerrick Jenkins.

The Hon. Charles Ehrlich handed down significant sentences for the defendants. Sutton received 40 to 80 years for three counts of Third Degree Murder, among other charges. Soto was sentenced to 30 to 60 years, and Brunson-Gans will serve 35 to 70 years, all for charges related to Third Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and firearm violations.
