The Sacramento Police Department reported the arrest of 42-year-old Michael Nix last Thursday in the 4900 block of Freeport Blvd. Officers on routine patrol found Nix in possession of a loaded handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, composite knuckles, and several 3D-printed firearm parts, as reported by the Sacramento Police Department.
Sacramento Police Department saw Nix exit his vehicle and walk away quickly as they approached. Running the license plate, they noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view, prompting a search. This led to Nix's detention and the discovery of illegal weapons. The department praised its officers, stating, "Cases like this underlines our officer's commitment to keeping our community safe, drugs off our street, and firearms out of the hands of felons!"
According to the Sacramento Police Department on their X account, officers seized 3D-printed firearm parts in a recent arrest. These untraceable ghost guns can be made using downloadable blueprints and 3D printers. Police stated that the seizure was part of efforts to prevent potential crimes and address the presence of illegal firearms in the city.
Here's another example of great instincts and proactive police work!
